Zamana sakht kam-azaar hai ba-jaan-e-asad,
wagarna hum toh tawaqqo zyada rakhte hain.

Tan-e-ba-band-e-hawas dar nadaada rakhte hain,
dil-e-z-kaar-e-jahaan uftaada rakhte hain.

Tameez-e-zishti-o-neki mein laakh baaten hain,
ba-aks-e-aaina yak-fard-e-saada rakhte hain.

Ba-rang-e-saaya humen bandagi mein hai tasleem,
ki daagh-e-dil ba-jabeen-e-kushaada rakhte hain.

Ba-zaahidaan rag-e-gardan hai rishta-e-zunnaar,
sar-e-ba-paa-e-buut-e-na-nihaada rakhte hain.

Muaaf-e-be-huda-goi hain naasehaan-e-azeez,
dil-e-ba-dast-e-nigaare nadaada rakhte hain.

Ba-rang-e-sabza azeezaan-e-bad-zabaan yak-dast,
hazaar tegh-e-ba-zahr-aab-daada rakhte hain.

Adab ne saunpi humen surma-saai-e-hairat,
z-ban-e-basta-o-chashm-e-kushaada rakhte hain. !!
