Zahir kisi surat bhi kahin naam na karna,
Hain log bohat khaas humain aam na karna,
Janey ki ijazat to diye dete hain lekin,
Raste main kahin aate huye shaam na karna,
Kuch roz se yeh haal hai chahat mein tumhari,
Bekaar parre rehna koi kaam na karna,
Main bhi na dikhaon ga sar-e-raah girebaan,
Tum bhi mere waadon ko sar-e-aam na karna,
Is shart pe hai tark-e-taluq ki ijazat,
Badnaam zamane mein mera naam na karna,
Hum log palat aaney ki haatir nahin jate,
Wa sham ke baad apne dar-o-baam na karna,
Yadon ka nasha hosh urra deta hai Arshad,
Saaqi se kaho samne ab jaaam na karna..
