Wo ashk ban k mere chashm-e-tar mein jab aaya.

Wo ashk ban k mere chashm-e-tar mein jab aaya.
Sha'or soz-e-muhabbat ka mujh ko tab aaya.

Adhoray pan ka tamaasha hai meray chaaron taraf.
Yahaan pe koi nahi, jis k hissay mein sab aaya.

Phir us k baad zabaa'n qaid ho gai meri.
Bus aik baar tera naam zer-e-lab aaya.

Na sajda haaye aqeedat mein be-khudi utri.
Na khaak-e-hast ko urrane ka koi dhab aaya.

Jissay yaqeen ho aawaragi k maslik par.
Ussay khayaal dil-e-dar-badar ka kab aaya.

Ameer-e-shehar ne aahoo'n pe jab saza rakh di.
Ghareeb-e-shehar ko tab yaad apna 'RAB' aaya.

Sufaid ho gaye jo sar k baal bhi.
Humaaray gaoo'n ka beta palat k ab aaya.
