Waqt khush khush kaatne ka mashwara dete huye,

Waqt khush khush kaatne ka mashwara dete huye,
Ro parra woh aap mujh ko hauslaa dete huye,
Us se kab dekhi gayi thi mere rukh ki murdani,
Phair leta tha woh muuh mujh ko davaa dete huye,
Be-zabaani bakhsh di khud-ehtisaabi ne mujhe,
Hont sil jaate hian duniya ko gilaa dete huye,
Apni raah masduud kar de ga yehi barrhta hujoom,
Yeh na sochaa har kisi ko raasta dete huye,
Aap apne qatal main shamil tha main maqtuul-e-shauqq,
Yeh khulaa mujh par talab ka khuun-bahaa dete huye,
Woh humen jab tak nazar aata raha takte rahe,
Geeli aankhon ukhrre lafzon se duaa dete huye,
Jaane kis dehshat ka saaya us ko mohr-e-lab hua,
Dar raha hai woh mujhe khul kar sadaa dete huye,
Be-aman tha aap lekin mojzaa hai yeh ‘ryaz’,
Haala-e-shafqat tha us ko aasra dete huye..
