Us ke junoon ke rang main mere lahuu ka rang tha,

Us ke junoon ke rang main mere lahuu ka rang tha,
Uss ke dil main bhi zangg tha mere bhi dil main zang tha,
Kuch woh sahii* na ban saka kuch main ghani* na ho saki,
Kuch us ka dil bhi tang tha kuch mera dil bhi tang tha,
Kuch zeezt bekhudi pe thi kuch ishq kaj’rawi pe tha,
Kuch us ko bhi na dhang* tha kuch mujh ko bhi na dhang tha,
Mohabto! gawaah raho kuch nahin tha raah main,
Faqat saamney hamarey anaa ka aik sang tha..
