tu mila tha aur mere haal par roya bhi tha

tu mila tha aur mere haal par roya bhi tha
mere sine mein kabhi ek iztirab aisa bhi tha
jis tarah dil aashna tha shahr ke aadab se
kuchh usi andaz se shaista-e-sahra bhi tha
zindagi tanha na thi ai ishq teri rah mein
dhup thi sahra tha aur ek mehrban saya bhi tha
ishq ke sahra-nashinon se mulaqaten bhi thin
husn ke shahr-e-nigaran mein bahut charcha bhi tha
hijr ke shab-zinda-daron se shanasai bhi thi
wasl ki lazzat mein gum logon se ek nata bhi tha
har fasurda aankh se manus thi apni nazar
dukh bhare sinon se ham-rishta mera sina bhi tha
thak bhi jate the agar sahra-nawardi se to kya
muttasil sahra ke ek wajd-afrin dariya bhi tha
