Teri nazar ka rang bahanon ne le liya,

Teri nazar ka rang bahanon ne le liya,
Afsurdgi ka roop taraano’n ne le liya,
Jin ko bhari bahaar mein ghunchay na keh sake,
Woh waaqeyaa bhi mere fasaanon ne liya,
Shayed milay ga qaryaa mehtaab mein sakoon,
Ehl-e-fard ko aese gumaano’n ne le liya,
Yazwaa’n se bacha raha tha jalalat ka ek lafz,
Us ko haram ke shokh beyaano’n ne le liya,
Teri adaa se ho na saka jis ka faisla,
Woh zindagi ka raaz fashaano’n ne le liya,
Afsaana hayaat ki takmeel ho gayi,
Apno’n ne le liya ke begaano’n ne liya,
Bholi nahin woh qos-e-qazaah ki si surtain,
Saghir tumhain to mast dheyaano’n ne le liya..
