Tere gale main jo bahon ko daal rakhte hain,

Tere gale main jo bahon ko daal rakhte hain,
Tujhe manane ka kesa kamaal rakhte hain,
Tujhe khabar hai tujhe sochne ki khatir hum,
Bohat se kaam muqadar par taal rakhte hain,
Koi bhi faisla hum soch kar nahin karte,
Tumhare naam ka sikka uchhaal rakhte hain,
Tumhare baad ye aadat si ho gayi apni,
Bikharte sookhtey patey sambhaal rakhte hain,
Khushi si milti hai khud ko aziyaten de kar,
So jaan boojh kar dil ko nidhaal rakhte hain,
Kabhi kabhi woh hans kar dekh lete hain,
Kabhi kabhi mera be-hadh khayal rakhte hain,
Tumhare hijar mein ye haal ho gaya apna,
Kisi ka khat ho ussey bhi sambhaal rakhte hain,
Khushi mile to tere baad khushi nahin hoti,
Hum apni aankh mein har dam malaal rakhte hain,
Zamane bhar se bacha kar wo apne aanchal mein,
Mere wajood ke tukrre sambhal rakhte hain,
Kuch is liye to behaal ho gaye hum log,
Tumhari yaad ka be-hadh khayaal rakhte hain..
