Shidat-e-gham main bhi zinda hoon to hairat kesi,

Ab yeh sochoon to bhanwar zehen main parr jate hain,
Kaise chehre hain jo milte hi bicharr jatay hain,
Kyun tere dard ko dain tohmat -e- veerani dil,
Zalzlon main to bharay sheher ujarr jatay hain,
Mausam-e-zard main aik dil ko bachaaon kaise,
Aisi rut main to ghanay pairr bhi jharrr jatay hain,
Ab koi kya mere qadmon ke nishaan dhoondhay ga,
Taiz aandhi main to khaimay bhi ukharr jatay hain,
Shidat-e-gham main bhi zinda hoon to hairat kesi,
Kuch diye tund hawaaon main bhi larr jatay hain,
Woh bhi kya log hain Mohsin jo wafa ki khatir,
Khud-taraasheda asoolon pe bhi arr jatay hain..
