Shehr-e-gul ke khas-o-khaashaak se khauf aata hai

شہر گل کے خس و خاشاک سے خوف آتا ہے
جس کا وارث ہوں اسی خاک سے خوف آتا ہے

شکل بننے نہیں پاتی کہ بگڑ جاتی ہے
نئ مٹی کو چاک سے خوف آتا ہے

وقت نے ایسے گھمائے افق ، آفاق کہ بس
محور گردش سفاک سے خوف آتا ہے

یہی لہجہ تھا کہ معیار سخن ٹھہرا تھا
اب اسی لہجئہ بے باک سے خوف آتا ہے

آگ جب آگ سے ملتی ہے تو لو دیتی ہے
خاک کو خاک کی پوشاک سے خوف آتا ہے

قامتِ جاں کو خوش آیا تھا کبھی خلعتِ عشق
اب اسی جامئہ صد چاک سے خوف آتا ہے

کبھی افلاک سے نالوں کے جواب آتے تھے
ان دنوں عالم افلاک سے خوف آتا ہے

رحمتِ سیدِ لولاک پہ کامل ایمان
امتِ سیدِ لولاک سے خوف آتا ھے

Mahvar-e-gardish-e-saffaak se khauf aata hai

Yahi lehjaa tha K me’yaar-e-sukhan Thahra tha
Ab isi lehjaa -e- be-baak se khauf aata hai

Aag jab aag se miltii hai to lau deti hai
Khaak ko khaak ki poshaak se khauf aata hai

Qamat-e-jaN ko khush aya tha kabhi khil’at-e-ishq
Ab isi jaama-e-sad-chaak se khauf aata hai

Kabhi aflaak se naaloN ke jawaab aate the
In dinoN aalam-e-aflaak se khauf aata hai

Rahmat-e-syed-e-laulaak pe kaamil eemaan
Ummat-e-syed-e-laulaak se khauf aata hai
