Safar ke baad bhi, zauq-e-safar na rah jaaye

Safar ke baad bhi, zauq-e-safar na rah jaaye
Khyal-o-khaab mein ab ke bhi ghar na rah jaaye

Main sochtaa huN bahut zindagii ke baaray meiN
Yeh zindagii bhi mujhe soch kar na rah jaaye

Bas ek khauf mein hotii hai har sehar merii
Nishaan-e-khaab kahiN aaNkh par na rah jaaye

Yeh be-hisi thi to meri zid thi mere ajzaa se
K mujh mein apne ta’aaqub ka dar na rah jaaye

Hawaay-e-shaam!! teraa raQs naaguziir sahi
Yeh meri khaak tere jism per na rah jaaye

Usi ki shakl liya chaahti hai khaak merii
So shahr-e-jaaN mein koi kuza-gar na rah jaaye

Guzar gayaa ho agar qaafila to dekh aao
Pas-e-ghubaar kisi ki nazar na rah jaaye

Main aek or khaRa hun hisaar-e-duniya ke
Wo jis ki zid mein khaRa huN udhar na rah jaaye
