Rach gayi khushbu mein gul-andaam*, saman brr*,
Tikti nahin nazar ke ussay dekhun nazar bhar,
Woh husn-e-saraapa ke pairaahan* bhi itraaye,
Jo rkhy sahj sahj* ke qadam mehkay reh-guzar,
Munaqqash* dhaari daar aanchal ki aarr se,
Jhaank raha hai tera rukh-e-mo’tabarr*,
Teri chaand soorat dekh dekh toot rhe hain,
Taaro’n ko chamaknay ka nahin waqt moyassar,
Chaman ke sbhi phool tujhy dekh kr kahen,
Hum se bhi ziyaada hasee’n? Hairat hai sara-srr,
Zidd kar raha hai chaand in palko’n mein rehny ki,
In surmagee’n* aankhon ki siyaahi ko dekh kar,
Tu ne kaha jis dil-kashi se “qubool hai”,
Bol uthay lafz “aye naazneen*!! Mukarrar”,
Mehndi lagay haathon mein muqayyad* huwa qalam,
Mansoob kar gaya tujhy khushiyon se umr bhrr,
Nikaah-e-muqaddas ki mubaarik hai de rahi,
Tere liye fiza bhi ho rhi hai mu’attar,
Iss qadar khuloos se maanga tujhy mein ne..
Rashk kr raha tha shbb ka pehr-e-mu’akharr*…
