raat aai hai bachchon ko paDhane mein laga hun

raat aai hai bachchon ko paDhane mein laga hun
KHud jo na bana un ko banane mein laga hun
wo shaKHs to rag rag mein meri gunj raha hai
barson se gala jis ka dabane mein laga hun
utra hun diya le ke nihan-KHana-e-jaan mein
soe soe aaseb jagane mein laga hun
patthar hun to shishe se mujhe kaam paDa hai
shisha hun to patthar ke zamane mein laga hun
fankar ba-zid hai ki lagaega numaish
main hun ki har ek zaKHm chhupane mein laga hun
kuchh paDhna hai kuchh likhna hai kuchh rona hai shab ko
main kaam sar-e-sham chukane mein laga hun
aise mein to ab sabr bhi mushkil hua 'akbar'
sab kahte hain main us ko bhulane mein laga hun
