nukta cheen hai ghame dil is ko sunae

نکتہ چيں ہے، غم ِ دل اس کو سنائے نہ بنے
کيا بنے بات، جہاں بات بنائے نہ بنے

ميں بلاتا تو ہوں اس کو مگر اے جذبہ ِ دل
اس پہ بن جائے کچھ ايسي کہ بن آئے نہ بنے

کھيل سمجھا ہے، کہيں چھوڑ نہ دے، بھول نہ جائے
کاش يوں بھي ہو کہ بن ميرے ستائے نہ بنے

غير پھرتا ہے لئے يوں ترے خط کو کہ اگر
کوئي پوچھے کہ يہ کيا ہے تو چھپائے نہ بنے

اس نزاکت کا برا ہو، وہ بھلے ہيں تو کيا!
ہاتھ آويں تو انہيں ہاتھ لگائے نہ بنے

کہہ سکے کون کہ يہ جلوہ گري کس کي ہے
پردہ چھوڑا ہے وہ اس نے کہ اٹھائے نہ بنے

موت کي راہ نہ ديکھوں؟ کہ بن آئے نہ رہے
تم کو چاہوں؟ کہ نہ آؤ تو بلائے نہ بنے

عشق پر زور نہيں، ہے يہ وہ آتش غالب
کہ لگائے نہ لگے اور بجھائے نہ بنے
