musalman k lahoo mai hai saleeqa dil nawaze

مسلماں کے لہو میں ہے سلیقہ دل نوازی کا
مروت حسن عالم گیر ہے مردان غازی کا

شکایت ہے مجھے یا رب خداوندان مکتب سے
سبق شاہیں بچوں کو دے رہے ہیں خاک بازی کا

بہت مدت کے نخچیروں کا انداز نگہ بدلا
کہ میں نے فاش کر ڈالا طریقہ شاہبازی کا

قلندر جز دو حرف لا الٰہ کچھ بھی نہیں رکھتا
فقیہ شہر قاروں ہے لغت ہائے حجازی کا

حدیث بادہ و مینا و جام آتی نہیں مجھ کو
نہ کر خاراشگافوں سے تقاضا شیشہ سازی کا

کہاں سے تو نے اے اقبالؔ سیکھی ہے یہ درویشی
کہ چرچا پادشاہوں میں ہے تیری بے نیازی کا
