Mohabbat ki aseeri se rehaayi maangte rehna,

Mohabbat ki aseeri se rehaayi maangte rehna,
Bohat asaan nahin hota, judaayi maangte rehna,
Zara sa ishq kar lena, zara si aankh-bhar lena,
Iwwaz is ke magar saari khudaayi mangte rehna,
Kabhi mehroom hontton par duaa ka harf rakh dena,
Kabhi wehshat main us ki na-rasaayi mangte rehna,
Wafaaon ke tasalssul se mohabbat rooth jati hai,
Kahani main zara si bewafaayi maangte rehna,
Ajab hai wehshat-e-jaan bhi ke aadat ho gayi dil ki,
Sakoot-e-shaam gham se se humnawaayi mangte rehna,
Kabhi bache ke nanhe hath par titlee ke par rakhna,
Kabhi phir us ke rangon se rehaayi maangte rehna..
