Mata-e shaam-e safar bastiyon mein chhod aaye,

Mata-e shaam-e safar bastiyon mein chhod aaye,
Bujhe charaagh hum apne gharon mein chhod aaye..!
Ghire hain lashkar-e aada mein ab ye sochte hain,
Hum apne teer toh apni safoon mein chhod aaye.
Hum apni darbadari ke mushahidey aksar,
Naseehaton ki tarah kamsino mein chhod aaye.
Bichhad ke tujh se chale hum toh ab ke youn bhi hua,
Ki teri yaad kahin raaston mein chhod aaye.
Hawa hi din mein parinde udaaye phirti hai,
Hawa hi phir se unhen ghonslon mein chhod aaye.
Humare baad bhi rounaq rahegi maqtal mein,
Hum ahl-e dil ko bade hoslon mein chhod aaye.
Udenge kya woh parinde jo apne rizq samait,
Safar ka shauq bhi toote paron mein chhod aaye.
Sada sukhi rahein chehre woh hum jinhe mohsin,
Bujhe gharon ki khuli khidkiyon mein chhod aaye. !!
