lufzooN mein fusaanay

lufzooN mein fusaanay dhoondtay hein hum log
lumhooN mein zamaanay dhoondtay hein hum log

tau zeher hi de sharaab keh ker saqi
jeenay ke bahaanay dhoondtay hein hum log

yeh daur meh-o jaam chale ya na chale
nashay se bhi phir kaam chale ya na chale

hum aihl-e kharaabat se yoon bair na rukh
saqi tera kal naam chale ya na chale

hur zaghum ko seenay peh saja laite hein
her dard ko hum dil mein basa laite hein

tum pholoon peh soutay ho tu dukhta hai badan
hum kantoon ko aankhooN se laga laite hein

hum bhi khud dushman-e jaaN thay pehle
tum magar dost kahaN thay pehle

dolat-e ghum tau moyashar thi Faraz
itne muflis bhi kahaan thay pehle
-----------------------------------
Kaun aata hai magar aas lagaye rakhna
Umr bhar dard ki shamaon ko jalaye rakhna

Iss zindagi mein itni fraghat kise naseeb
Itna na yaad aa ke tujhe bhool jaayein hum
