Lakh mismaar kiye jayen zamaane wale,

Lakh mismaar kiye jayen zamaane wale,
Aa hi jaate hain neya sheher basaane wale,
Us ki zad pr woh kabhi khud bhi to aa sakte hain,
Yeh kahan jante hain aag lagane wale,
Ab to sawan bhi barood barasta hai,
Ab woh mausam nahin barish main nahane wale,
Sar se jata hi nahin wada-e-fardaa ka junoon,
Mar gaye adal ki zanjeer hilaane wale,
Hum na kehte thay tujhe, waqt bohat zalim hai,
Kya huye ab woh tere naaz uthane wale,
Saaye main bethi huyi nassal ko maloom nahin,
Dhoop ki nazar huye pairr lagane wale,
Ghar main deewaren hain aur sehn main ankhen hain saleem,
Itne azaad nahin waada nibhaane wale..
