Kon kehta hai mohabbat ki zubaan hoti hai,

Kon kehta hai mohabbat ki zubaan hoti hai,
Yeh haqeeqat to nigaahon se beyaan hoti hai,
Woh naa aye to sataati hai khalish si dil ko,
Woh jo aaye to khalish aur bhi jawaan hoti hai,
Rooh ko shaad kare dil ko jo pur-noor kare,
Har nazaare main yeh tanveer kahan hoti hai,
Zabt-e-sailaab mohabbat ko kahan tak roke,
Dil main jo baat ho ankhon se ayaan hoti hai,
Zindagi ik sulagti si chitaa hai “sahir”,
Sholaa banti hai na yeh bujh ke dhuaan hoti hai..
