Kitaaben jhankti hain band almari ke sheeshon se,

Kitaaben jhankti hain band almari ke sheeshon se,
bari hassrat se takti hain,
maheenon ab mulaqaaten nahin hotin,
jo shaamen un ki sohbat main katta karti thiin,
ab aksar guzar jaati hain computer ke pardon par,
Bari bechain rehti hain kitaben,
unhe ab neend main chalne ki aadat ho gayi hai,
Bari hassrat se takti hain,
jo qadren woh sunaati thin,
ke jin ke cell kabhi martay nahin thay,
woh qadren ab nazar aati nahin ghar main,
jo rishte woh sunaati theen,
woh saare udhrray udhrray hain,
Koi safaah palattt-ta hon to ik sisski nikalti hai,
kayi lafzon ke maani gir parre hain,
bina paton ke sukhay tunndd lagte hain woh sab alfaz,
jin par ab koi maani nahin ugte,
bohat si istelaahen hain,
jo mitti ke sakoron ki tarah bikhri parri hain,
gilaason ne unhen matruuk kar dala,
zaban par zaiqaa aata tha jo safeh palattne ka,
ab ungli click karne se bas ik,
jhapki guzarti hai,
bohat kuch teh-ba-teh khulta chala jata hai parde pe,
Kitaabon se jo zaari raabta tha katt geya hai,
kabhi seenay pe rakh ke laitt jaate thay,
kabhi godi mein lete thay,
kabhi ghutnon ko apne rehl ki suurat bana kar,
neem sajde main parrha karte thay chuutay thay jabeen se,
Khuda ne chaha to,
woh sara ilm to milta rahe ga aaynda bhi,
magar woh jo kitaabon main mila karte thay,
sookhay mehke huye ruqqay,
kitaaben maangne girne uthaane ke bahane rishte bante thay,
un ka kya hoga,
woh shayed ab nahin honge..
