Kisi ki aankh se sapne churaa kar kuch nahin milta,

Kisi ki aankh se sapne churaa kar kuch nahin milta,
Munddairon se chiraghon ko bhuja kar kuch nahin milta,
Sakoon un ko nahin milta kabhi pardes ja kar bhi,
Jinhe apne watan se dil laga kar kuch nahin milta,
Usey kehna ke palkon pe na taanke khawb ki jhaalar,
Samandar ke kinaare ghar bana kar kuch nahin milta,
Na jaane kon se jazbe ki yoon taskeen karta hoon,
Bazaahar to tumhare khat jalaa kar kuch nahin milta,
Usey main pyaar karta hoon to mujh ko chain ata hai,
Woh kehta hai usey mujh ko sataa kar kuch nahin milta,
Mujhe aksar sitaaron se yehi awaaz ati hai,
Kisi ke hijar main neendain ganwaa kar kuch nahin milta,
Jigar ho jaaye ga chhalni, yeh aankhain khoon royen gi,
Wasi, befaiz logon se nibhaa kar kuch nahin milta..
