Khuwab jhoote kisi ko dikhaya nahi karte,

Khuwab jhoote kisi ko dikhaya nahi karte,
Mere dost! Yun kisi ko satya nahi karte,
Ek baar yun kisi ko keh ker apna,
Daman phir uss se churaya nahi karte,

Us ke intezaar se bhala kya ho ga haasil,
Aane ka keh kar bhi jo aaya nahi karte,
Rakhte hon jo dard bhara dil apne seene mein,
Doosron ka dil phir woh dukhaya nahi karte,

Do qadam saath chal kar jo judda ho jayen,
Aise logon ko toh humsafar banaya nahi karte,
Kiss tarha guzarti hogi zindagi unn ki,
Pehli mohabbat ko jo dil se bhulaya nahi karte
