Khud apne dil mein

Khud apne dil mein kharaashein utaarni hongi,
abhi toh jaag ke raaten guzaarni hongi.
Tere liye mujhe hans hans ke bolna hoga,
mere liye tujhe zulfein sanwaarni hongi.
Teri sadaa se tujhi ko taraashna hoga,
hawa ki chaap se shaklein ubhaarni hongi.
Abhi toh teri tabiyyat ko jeetne ke liye,
dil-o nighaah ki shartein bhi haarni hongi.
Tere wisaal ki khwaahish ke tez rangon se,
tere firaaq ki subahein nikhaarni hongi.
Ye shayari, ye kitaabein, ye aayatein dil ki
nishaaniyan ye sabhi tujh pe waarni hongi. !!
Kathin tanhaaiyon se kaun khela, main akela,
bhara ab bhi mere gaaon ka mela, main akela.
Bichhad kar tujh se main shab bhar na soya, kaun roya,
ba-juz* mere ye dukh bhi kis ne jhela, main akela.
Ye be’aawaaz banjar ke baasi, ye udaasi,
ye dasht ka safar, jungle, ye bela, main akela.
Main dekhun kab talak manzar suhaane, sab puraane
wahi duniya, wahi dil ka jhamela, main akela.
Woh jis ke khauf se sehraa sidhaare log saare,
guzarne ko hai toofaan ka woh rella, main akela. !!
