Jab apnay aiteqad kay mehwar say hat gaya

جب اپنے اعتقاد کے محور سے ہٹ گیا
میں ریزہ ریزہ ہو کے حریفوں میں بٹ گیا

دشمن کے تن پہ گاڑ دیا میں نے اپنا سر
میدان کارزار کا پانسہ پلٹ گیا

تھوڑی سی اور زخم کو گہرائی مل گئی
تھوڑا سا اور درد کا احساس گھٹ گیا

درپیش اب نہیں ترا غم کیسے مان لوں
کیسا تھا وہ پہاڑ جو رستے سے ہٹ گیا

اپنے قریب پا کے معطر سی آہٹیں
میں بارہا سنکتی ہوا سے لپٹ گیا

جو بھی ملا سفر میں کسی پیڑ کے تلے
آسیب بن کے مجھ سے وہ سایا چمٹ گیا

لٹتے ہوئے عوام کے گھر بار دیکھ کر
اے شہریار تیرا کلیجہ نہ پھٹ گیا

رکھے گا خاک ربط وہ اس کائنات سے
جو ذرہ اپنی ذات کے اندر سمٹ گیا

چوروں کا احتساب نہ اب تک ہوا قتیلؔ
جو ہاتھ بے قصور تھا وہ ہاتھ کٹ گیا
