Ishq mujh ko nahin wehshat hi sahi,

Ishq mujh ko nahin wehshat hi sahi,
meri wehshat teri shohrat hi sahi.

Qat.a keejiye na taalluq hum se,
kuchh nahin hai toh adaawat hi sahi.

Mere hone mein hai kya ruswaai,
ye woh majlis nahin khalwat hi sahi.

Hum bhi dushman toh nahin hain apne,
ghair ko tujh se mohabbat hi sahi.

Apni hasti hi se ho jo kuchh ho,
aagahi gar nahin ghaflat hi sahi.

Umar har-chand ki hai barq-e-khiraam,
dil ke khoon karne ki fursat hi sahi.

Hum koi tark-e-wafa karte hain,
na sahi ishq museebat hi sahi.

Kuchh toh de aey falak-e-naa-insaaf,
aah-o-fariyaad ki rukhsat hi sahi.

Hum bhi tasleem ki khoo daalenge,
be–niyaazi teri aadat hi sahi.

Yaar se chhed chali jaaye ‘asad’
gar nahin wasl toh hasrat hi sahi. !!
