In jheel si gehri aankhoon main

In jheel si gehri aankhoon main ik sham kahin aabad to ho

is jheel kinaray pal do pal
ik khawab ka neela phool khilay
wo phol baha dain lehroon main
ik rooz kabhi hum sham dhalay
is phol k behtay rangoon main
jis waqt larazta chand chalay
us waqt kahin un aankhoon main is basray pal ki yaad to ho

In jheel si gehri aankhoon main ik sham kahin aabad to ho

phir chahay omer samander ki
her maoj parayshan ho jaye
phir chahay aankh darechay say
her khawab gurayzaan ho jaye
phir chahay phool k chehray ka
her dard nomayan ho jaye
is jheel kinaray pal do pal wo roop nagar eejad to ho
din raat k is aaeynay say wo aks kabhi aazad to ho
In jheel si gehri aankhoon main ik sham kahin aabad to ho
