Ik taizz teer tha ke lagaa aur nikal geya,

Ik taizz teer tha ke lagaa aur nikal geya,
Maari jo cheekh rail ne jungle dehall geya,
Soyaa hua tha sheher kisi saamp ki tarah,
Main dekhta hi reh geya aur chaand ddhal geya,
Khawhish ki garmiyaan theen ajab un ke jism main,
Khuubaan ki sohbaton main mera khuun jjal geya,
Thi shaam zehr-e-rang main duubi hui kharri,
Phir ik zara si dair main manzar badal geya,
Muddat ke baad aaj ussey dekh kar Munir,
Ik baar dil to dharrka magar phir sambhal geya..
