Gayi rutoN me to shaam O sehar na the aise

گئی رتوں میں تو شام و سحر نہ تھے ایسے
کہ ہم اداس بہت تھے مگر نہ تھے ایسے

یہاں بھی پھول سے چہرے دکھا ئی دیتے تھے
یہ اب جو ہیں یہی دیوار و در نہ تھے ایسے

ملے تو خیر نہ ملنے پہ رنجشیں کیسی
کہ اس سے اپنے مراسم تھے پر نہ تھے ایسے

رفاقتوں سے مرا ہوں مسافتوں سے نہیں
سفروہی تھا مگر ہم سفر نہ تھے ایسے

ہمیں تھے جو ترے آنے تلک جلے ورنہ
سبھی چراغ سر رہگزر نہ تھے ایسے

دل تباہ تجھے اور کیا تسلی دیں
ترے نصیب ترے چارہ گر نہ تھے ایسے
