Ek jazba khak hua dil ki gehrayion me kahin
ta’ajjub hai maut par uski koi roya tak nahin,

sahil se to chale the sath me hamsafar banker
sagar ne duboya hum hi ko unhe to bhigoya tak nahin,

ankhon me zinda khuwab thay ya khuwab me zinda ankhen
tutne k bad hi jana ki unhone to sanjoya tak nahin,

nadani me jinki khatir sab lutane nikle the hum
dekho humare na rehne per bhi unka kuch khoya tak nahin.
