Diyaar-e-dil ki raat mein charagh sa jala gaya

Diyaar-e-dil ki raat mein charagh sa jala gaya,
Mila nahi to kiya huwa wo shakal to dikha gaya,

Judaiyoon k zakhm dard-e-zindagi ne bhar diye,
Tujhe bhi neend aa gae mujhe bhi sabar aa gaya,

Ye subah ki safediyaan ye dopaher ki zardiyaan,
Ab aaieny mein dekhta hoon main kahan chala gaya,

Pukarti hein fursaten khan gain wo suhbaten,
Zameen nigal gayi unhein ya aasaman kha gaya,

Wo dosti to Khair ab naseeb-e-dushmanaan howi,
Wo choti choti ranjishoon ka lutf bhi chala gaya,

Ye kis Khushi ki reet par ghamoon ko neend aa gai,
Wo lehar kis taraf gai ye main kahan sama gaya,

Gae dinoon ki laash par parey raho gy kab talak,
Utho amal kashon utho k afataab sar pe aa gaya !!
