Dil main aur to kya rakha hai,

Dil main aur to kya rakha hai,
Tera dard chupaa rakha hai,
Itne dukhon ki tez hawaa main,
Dil ka deep jalaa rakha hai,
Dhoop se chehron ne duniya main,
Kya andher machaa rakha hai,
Is nagrii ke kuch logon ne,
Dukh ka naam davaa rakha hai,
Vaaada-e-yaaar ki baat na cherro,
Yeh dhoka bhi khaa rakha hai,
Bhool bhi jao beeti baaten,
In baaton main kya rakha hai,
Chup chup kyun rehte ho ‘nasir’,
Kya yeh rog laga rakha hai..

Dil main aur to kya rakha hai,

Dil main aur to kya rakha hai,
Tera hi dard chupaa rakha hai,
Itne dukhon ki taiz havaa main,
Dil ka deep jalaa rakha hai,
Dhoop se chehron ne duniya main,
Kya andhair machaa rakha hai,
Iss nagri ke kuch logon ne,
Dukh ka naam davaa rakha hai,
Vaada-e-yaar ki baat na cherro,
YEh dhoka bhi khaa rakha hai,
Bhool bhi jao beeti baaten,
In baaton main kya rakha hai,
Chup chup kyuun rehte ho “nasir”,
Yeh kya rog lagaa rakha hai..
