Dil ko reh reh ke yeh andeshe daraane lag jayen,

Dil ko reh reh ke yeh andeshe daraane lag jayen,
Waapsi main ussay mumkin hai zamaane lag jayen,
So nahin paayen to sone ki duaayen maangen,
Neend aanay lage to khud ko jagaane lag jayen,
Uss ko dhoondhen usay ik baat bataane ke liye,
Jab woh mil jaaye to woh baat chupaane lag jayen,
Har december ussi vehshat main guzaara ke kahin,
Phir se aankhon main tere khawb na aanay lag jayen,
Itni taakheer se mat mil ke hamen sabr aa jaye,
Aur phir hum bhi nazar tujh se churaane lag jayen,
Jeet jaayen gi hawaayen yeh khabar hote huye,
Tez aandhi main charaaghon ko jalaane lag jayen..
