Dil-e-naadaan tujhe hua kya hai,

Dil-e-naadaan tujhe hua kya hai,
aakhir iss dard ki dava kya hai.

Hum hain mushtaaq aur woh bezaar,
Yaa ilaahi ye maajra kya hai.

Main bhi munh mein zabaan rakhta hun,
kaash poochho ki muddaa kya hai.

Jab ki thujh bin nahin koi maujood,
phir ye hungaama aey khuda kya hai.

Ye pari chehra log kaise hain,
ghamza-o-ishwa-o-adaa kya hai.

Shikan-e-zulf-e-ambareen kyon hai,
nigah-e-chashm-e-surma sa kya hai.

Sabza-o-gul kahan se aaye hain,
abr kya cheez hai hawa kya hai.

Hum ko un se wafa ki hai ummeed,
jo nahin jaante wafa kya hai.

Haan bhala kar tera bhala hoga,
aur darwesh ki sada kya hai.

Jaan tum par nisaar karta hun,
main nahin jaanta dua kya hai.

Maine mana ki kuchh nahin ‘ghalib’
muft haath aaye toh bura kya hai. !!
