Dekhna qismat ki aap apne pe rashk aa jaaye hai,
main usey dekhun bhala kab mujh se dekha jaaye hai.

Haath dho dil se yehi garmi gar andeshe mein hai,
aabgina tundi-e-sahaba se pighala jaaye hai.

Ghair ko ya rab woh kyon kar mana-e-gustaakhi kare,
gar hayaa bhi uss ko aati hai toh sharma jaaye hai.

Shauq ko ye lat ki har dum naala kheenche jaaiye,
dil ki woh haalat ki dum lene se ghabra jaaye hai.

Door chashm-e-bad teri bazm-e-tarab se waah waah,
naghma ho jaata hai waan gar naala mera jaaye hai.

Garche hai tarz-e-taghaful parda-daar-e-raaz-e-ishq,
par hum aise khoye jaate hain ki woh pa jaaye hai.

Uss ki bazm-aaraaiyaan sun kar dil-e-ranjur yaan,
misl-e-naqsh-e-mudda-e-ghair baitha jaaye hai.

Ho ke aashiq woh pari-rukh aur naazuk ban gaya,
rang khulta jaaye hai jitna ki udta jaaye hai.

Naqsh ko uss ke musawwir par bhi kya kya naaz hain,
kheenchta hai jis qadar utna hi khinchta jaaye hai.

Saaya mera mujh se misl-e-dood bhaage hai ‘asad’
paas mujh aatish-ba-jaan ki kis se thehra jaaye hai. !!
