Chirag melay say bahar rakha gia wo bhe

چراغ میلے سے باہر رکھا گیا وہ بھی
ہوا کی طرح سے نامعتبر رہا وہ بھی

زمین زاد بھی بھُولا جو لفظِ رہداری
فصیلِ شہر سے باہر کھڑا رہا وہ بھی

میں اُس کے سارے رویوں پر معترض ہوتی
مری طرح سے مگر تھا دُکھا ہوا وہ بھی

گلی کے موڑ پہ دیکھا اُسے تو کیسی خوشی
کسی کے واسطے ہو گا رُکا ہوا وہ بھی

میں اُس کی کھوج میں دیوانہ وار پھرتی رہی
اسی لگن سے کبھی مجھ کو ڈھونڈتا وہ بھی
