Buzurg E waqt, kisi shai ko la-zawaal bhi kar

بزرگِ وقت کسی شے کو لازوال بھی کر
تو کیسے شعبدہ گر ہے کوئی کمال بھی کر

درخت ہوں، تو کبھی بیٹھ میرے سائے میں
میں سبزہ ہوں تو کبھی مجھ کو پامال بھی کر

یہ تمکنت کہیں پتھر کہیں بنا نہ دے مجھ کو
تو آدمی ہے،خوشی بھی دکھا ملال بھی کر

میں چاہتا ہوں کہ اب جو بھی جی میں آئے کروں
تجھے بھی میری اجازت ہے جو خیال بھی کر

پگھلا رہی ہیں اس آشوبِ وقت میں صدیاں
وہ کہہ رہا ہے کہ تو فکرِ ماہ سال بھی کر
