yusuf na jis mein ho koi aisi dukan na thi
zardi ne mere rang ki mujh ko rula diya
hanswae jo kisi ko ye wo zafaran na thi
zahir se KHub-ruyon ka baatin KHilaf tha
shirin-labon ki tarah se un ki zaban na thi
manzil hi dur hai jo ye pahunchi nahin hanuz

momin na tha wo jis ko hawa-e-jinan na thi
bang-e-jaras se aage har ek ka qadam raha
gard apne karwan ke pas-e-karwan na thi
afsos kya jawani-e-rafta ka kijiye
wo kaun si bahaar thi jis ko KHizan na thi
