Azeeztar woh mujhe rakhta tha ragg-e-jaan se,
Yeh baat sach hai mera baap kam na tha meri maan se,
Woh maan ke kehne pe kuch raub mujhpe rakhta tha,
Yehi wajah thi mujhe choomtey jhijhakta tha,
Woh aashnaa mere har karb se raha har dum,
Jo khul ke ro nahin paya magar sisakta tha,
Jurri thi uski har ek haan faqat meri haan se,
Yeh baat sach hai mera baap kam na tha meri maan se,
Har ek dard woh chup chaap khud pe sehtaa tha,
Tamaam umar woh apnon se katt ke rehta tha,
Woh laut’ta tha raat der tak din bhar,
Wajood uska paseeney mein thall ke behta tha,
Giley they mujhe phir bhi aese chaak-daama se,

Purana suit pehenta tha kam woh khaata tha,
Magar khiloney mere sab khareedta tha,
Woh mujh ko soye huye dekhta tha jee bhar ke,
Na jane soch ke kya kya woh muskuraata tha,
