Ay dost tere ankh jo nam hay tu mujay kia

اے دوست! تری آنکھ جو نم ہے تو مجھے کیا
میں خوب ہنسوں گا تجھے غم ہے تو مجھے کیا

کیا میں نے کہا تھا کہ زمانے سے بھلا کر
اب تو بھی سزاوار ستم ہے تو مجھے کیا

ہاں لے لے قسم گر مجھے قطرہ بھی ملا ہو
تو شاکیٔ ارباب کرم ہے تو مجھے کیا

جس در سے ندامت کے سوا کچھ نہیں ملتا
اس در پہ ترا سر بھی جو خم ہے تو مجھے کیا

میں نے تو پکارا ہے محبت کے افق سے
رستے میں ترے سنگ حرم ہے تو مجھے کیا

بھولا تو نہ ہوگا تجھے سقراط کا انجام
ہاتھوں میں ترے ساغر سم ہے تو مجھے کیا

پتھر نہ پڑیں گر سر بازار تو کہنا
تو معترف حسن صنم ہے تو مجھے کیا

میں سرمد و منصور بنا ہوں تری خاطر
