Ankhon main jo baat ho gayi hai,

Ankhon main jo baat ho gayi hai,
Ik sharh-e-hayat ho gayi hai,
Jab dil ki vafat ho gayi hai,
Har cheez ki raat ho gayi hai,
Gham se chhoot kar yeh gham hai mujh ko,
Kyun gham se najaat ho gayi hai,
Muddat se khabar mili na dil ki,
Shayad koi baat ho gayi hai,
Jis shai pe nazar parri hai teri,
Tasveer-e-hayat ho gayi hai,
Ab ho mujhe dekhiye kahan subh,
Un zulfon main raat ho gayi hai,
Dil main tujh se thi shikayet,
Ab gham ke nikaat ho gayi hai,
Jo cheez bhi mujh ko hath ayi,
Teri saughaat ho gayi hai,
Kya janiye maut pehle kya thi,
Ab meri hayaat ho gayi hai,
GhaTte GhaTte teri inayat,
Meri auqaat ho gayi hai,
Us chashm-e-siyah ki yaad yaksar,
Sham-e-zulmat ho gayi hai,
Ikka-dukka sadaa-e-zanjeer,
Zindan main raat ho gayi hai,
Ek ek sifat firaq us ki,
Dekha hai to zaat ho gayi hai..
