Alwida keh kar usey takta raha mein der tak,

Alwida keh kar usey takta raha mein der tak,
Aatish-e-khamosh me jalta raha mein der tak,

Shehr ki veeraan galyoon me akela raat bhar,
Ik musaafir ki tarha phirta raha mein der tak,

Aasmaan par ek adhoora chand or bikhrey taarey,
Intezaar-e-subhu me ginta raha mein der tak,

Sochta hon kis liye bujhta chala jata he dil,
Baad us ke ji ko behlata raha mein der tak,

Kis qadar maazi ki yaadein talkh or be dard hein,
Neend kho kar aankhon se rota raha mein der tak,

Haal us ne bhi na poocha jo mera hamraaz tha,
Aahein us ke roobaroo bharta raha mein der tak

Alwida keh kar usey takta raha mein der tak,

Alwida keh kar usey takta raha mein der tak,
Aatish-e-khamosh me jalta raha mein der tak,

Shehr ki veeraan galyon me akela raat bhar,
Ik musaafir ki tarha phirta raha mein der tak,

Aasmaan par ek adhoora chand or bikhrey taarey,
Intezaar-e-subha me ginta raha mein der tak,

Sochta hon kis liy bujhta cha Men Lagi Aag Bujhanay Se Raha Main.

Jo Zakhm Rafiqo'n K Rawaiyon Se Lagay Hen,
Wo Zakhm Kisi Ko Bhe Dikhanay Se Raha Main.

Darya Hoon To Darya He Usay Paish Karoon ga,
Pyasay Ko Samandar To Pilanay Se raha main. . . .!
