aj jane ki zid na karo

aj jane ki zid na karo
yun hi pahlu main baithe raho
haye! mar jayenge, ham to lut jayenge
aisi baten kiya na karo
tum hi socho zara kyun na roke tumhen
jan jati hai jab uthke jate ho tum
tum ko apani kasam jan-e-jan
bat itni meri man lo
waqt ki qaid main zindagi hai magar
chand ghariyan yahi hain jo azad hai
in ko kho kar abhi jan-e-jan
umr bhar na taraste raho
kitna masum-o-rangin hai ye sama
husn aur ishq ki aj meraj hai
kal ki kisko khabar jane-jan
rok lo aj ki rat ko
gesuon ki shikan hai abhi shabnami
aur palkon k saye bhi madahosh hain
husn-e-masum ko jane-jan
bekhudi main na rusva karo
