Afsos ki dandaan ka kiya rizq falak ne,
jin logon ki thi dar-khur-e-aqd-e-guhar angusht.

Kaafi hai nishaani tera chhalle ka na dena,
Khaali mujhe dikhla ki ba-waqt-e-safar angusht.

Likhta hun ‘asad’ sozish-e-dil se sukhan-e-garm,
ta rakh na sake koi mere harf par angusht. !!
