ab wahi harf-e-junun sab ki zaban Thahri hai

ab wahi harf-e-junun sab ki zaban Thahri hai
jo bhi chal nikli hai wo baat kahan Thahri hai
aaj tak shaiKH ke ikram mein jo shai thi haram
ab wahi dushman-e-din rahat-e-jaan Thahri hai
hai KHabar garm ki phirta hai gurezan naseh
guftugu aaj sar-e-ku-e-butan Thahri hai
hai wahi aariz-e-laila wahi shirin ka dahan
nigah-e-shauq ghaDi bhar ko jahan Thahri hai
wasl ki shab thi to kis darja subuk guzri thi
hijr ki shab hai to kya saKHt giran Thahri hai
bikhri ek bar to hath aai hai kab mauj-e-shamim
dil se nikli hai to kab lab pe fughan Thahri hai
dast-e-sayyaad bhi aajiz hai kaf-e-gul-chin bhi
bu-e-gul Thahri na bulbul ki zaban Thahri hai
aate aate yunhi dam bhar ko ruki hogi bahaar
jate jate yunhi pal bhar ko KHizan Thahri hai
hum ne jo tarz-e-fughan ki hai qafas mein ijad
'faiz' gulshan mein wahi tarz-e-bayan Thahri hai
