Ab kis se kahen aur kon sune jo haal tumhare baad hua,

Ab kis se kahen aur kon sune jo haal tumhare baad hua,
Is dil ki jheel si ankhon main ik khawb bohat barbaad hua,
Yeh hijr-hava bhi dushman hai is naam ke saare rangon ki,
Woh naam jo mere honton pr khushbuu ki tarah abaad raha,
Us sheher me kitne chehre they kuch yaad nahi sab bhool gaye,
Ik shakss kitabon jesa tha woh shakss zubaani yaad hua,
Woh apne gaaon ki galiyan thi dil jin main nachta gaata tha,
Ab iss se fark nahi parta nashaad hua ya shaad hua,
Benaam satayesh rehti thi in gehri saanvli aankhon main,
Aissa to kabhi socha bhi na tha dil ab jitna bedaad hua..
