Ab JunuN kab kisi ke bus meiN hai
Uski khushboo nafas-nafas meiN hai

Haal us Said ka, sunaaiye kya!
Jis ka saiyyad khud qafas meiN hai

Kya hai gar zindagi ka bus na chala
Zindagi kab kisi ke bus meiN hai?

Woh tere jism ki hawas meiN hai!

Paa-shikastaa paRa hua huN magar
Dil kisi naGhma-e-jaras meiN hai

‘Joan’ hum sab ki dastaras meiN haiN
Woh bhala kis ki dastaras meiN hai
