Aaina dekh apna sa munh le ke rah gaye,

Aaina dekh apna sa munh le ke rah gaye,
sahab ko dil na dene pe kitna ghuroor tha.

Qaasid ko apne haath se gardan na maariye,
uss ki khata nahin hai ye mera qusoor tha.

Zof-e-junoon ko waqt-e-tapish dar bhi door tha,
ek ghar mein mukhtasar-sa bayaabaan zaroor tha.

Aey waa-e-ghaflat-e-nigah-e-shauq warna yaan,
har paara sang lakht-e-dil-e-koh-e-toor tha.

Dars-e-tapish hai barq ko ab jis ke naam se,
woh dil hai ye ki jis ka takhallus suboor tha.

Har rang mein jala ‘asad’-e-fitna-intizaar,
parwaana-e-tajalli-e-shama-e-zuhoor tha. !!
