In an electric kettle, cook sweetcorn kernels with butter for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the corn is soft. Remove the sweetcorn from the electric pot and add the pasta to it. Boil for a few minutes, following the directions on the pasta package. Because the cooking time of pasta varies depending on its form and thickness, it's best to double-check the instructions. Once the pasta is done, drain the water from the kettle and place the pasta on a platter. Add the sweetcorn, cheese, and parsley or basil to finish. If desired, add mushrooms and bacon.

Fill a bowl halfway with hot water and add your desired amount of rice noodles to cook. To keep the heat in the bowl, cover it with a plate. Allow 5 minutes for the noodles to cook. Prepare the components for your noodle sauce, such as shrimp, bacon, spinach, carrots, mushrooms, and herbs. Cook the items in a Ziplock bag for a few minutes. When they're done, combine them with your bowl of rice noodles, spring onions, salt, and bean sprouts.
