Google Drive is a popular cloud storage option. Google is constantly introducing new improvements to make the Drive experience better. Google revealed a massive shift a few months back. The cloud app will receive a huge makeover on PCs. It will now be replaced with a new Google Drive app. Google Drive is changing one more time before making this switch. Everyone will now be able to access Google Drive's offline mode. Even when you don't have an internet connection, you will be able to get at specific files and documents via your browser.

Google Drive Offline Mode is Now Available to All

Early in 2019, Google began testing an option in Google Drive's web version that gives you the ability to save Google Drive files to be viewed offline, regardless of their file type. However, it was only available to beta testers. This is now open to all customers.

The feature gives anybody access to all file kinds without using internet. For folks who frequently visit places with unreliable internet, this is an invaluable service. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides were formerly limited to access over the internet.

How to Enable Google Drive Offline mode

To enable offline support for a file, simply right-click it in your Drive and select “available offline” from the menu. You can choose how many files to download. You may then open those files using Drive's web-based portal and supported programmes on your PC. The only disadvantage is that you must select files one by one.

This update allows Chrome OS users to choose which Docs, Sheets, and Slides files to make offline on some of the finest Chromebooks. Not having to open Drive or Docs to mark files for offline viewing.

All Drive users, personal or business, can use the service. Admins must manually enable offline access for their domain in an office setup. As of September 14, Google has began sending out the new feature to all users.
